Memory Hold The Door, Volume I: 1958–1967

Memory Hold The Door Honorees from 1958 to 1967.

Clement Furman Haynsworth (1885–1953)

Clement F. Haynsworth received an A.B. from Furman University and an A.B. and LL.B. from Harvard University. In 1911, he married Miss Elsie Hall of Washington, D.C.

With his father, H.J. Haynsworth, he formed the late law firm of Haynsworth and Haynsworth in 1910. The firm became noted for the ability of its members and associates and the extent of its practice.

This talented lawyer was “well known for his cordial attitude, his pleasant smile, his clear legal mind and his fair dealings.” It is stimulating and gratifying to observe three such men of such marked ability as H.J. Haynsworth, Clement F. Haynsworth and now Clement F. Haynsworth, Jr., Judge of the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
