Memory Hold The Door, Volume I: 1958–1967

Memory Hold The Door Honorees from 1958 to 1967.

Frank Barron Grier (1869–1933)

Frank Grier was educated at The Citadel where he received an A.B. and an LL.D. He undertook the private study of law and was admitted to the Bar in 1893. He was married to Miss Retta McWillie Withers.

He practiced at Kingstree for four years and, in 1897, he moved to Greenwood where he practiced until his death.

His zeal for and loyalty to his clients were pronounced. His ability as a trial lawyer and as counselor is attested to by the fact that for many years, he was General Solicitor for the Charleston and Western Carolina Railroad and General Counsel and Vice President of the Atlantic Coastline Railroad.

“His honesty and integrity as a man and as a lawyer were beyond question.”
