Lewis Wardlaw Perrin, known to his many friends as “Buck”, was born in Abbeville. Married Elizabeth Patterson, Converse College graduate, of Bellefontaine, Ohio. Their children: Elizabeth Perrin Powell, L.W. Perrin, Jr., and Edward Patterson Perrin.
Graduated from the University of South Carolina with an A.B. degree in 1908. Captain undefeated 1907 football team, first Student Body President, 1908, read law, admitted to the Bar in 1910, practiced in Spartanburg.
